Happy Mother's Day weekend begins

Every Mother's Day weekend, I always planned to surprise others but this year, I feel like being a mother and asking to be pampered. After giving birth to two kids (which I am so blessed), the hardest thing was carrying both kids to full term without medications. I always am grateful to God for giving the strength and patience, and my family for being there to catch me when I needed a helping hand.

This Mother's Day, I want to dedicate to my Nina. My white dove. I miss you a lot. Your memories comfort and strengthen my daily struggles. Your daddy and mommy love and miss you.

My boy will be graduating Transitional Kindergarten this May 31. He will enter Kindergarten in August 2013. One step closer to getting his degree....I hope! His maturity has grown leaps and bounds, he is sociable and polite.

Then there is my little princess. She is in a different class of her own. Adamant. Fashionista. Diva. Adaptable. I have raised and watched a lot of kids grow up in my time. My little one, is something of the ordinary. She just blew my expectations out of the water.

When they say kids say the darnest things! Believe me, this one says it and knows what it means!

I want to send a greeting to my mother, who is back home. I think of you everyday, I wish my health is better for me to travel to come see you. I miss you a lot. I love you mommy.

My observation for this Mother's Day, we always see on television reminding us, do you know where your children are, at the stroke of 10 pm. The responsibility always falls on the parents.

I pose this to all the children out there!

Have you called your mother lately?

Have you hugged your mother lately?

Have you whispered I love you to your mother lately?

If you have not, it is not too late. What are you waiting for?

I love you, my mommy. My kids love you, grandma.
