Choozi's birthday 2012
We celebrated Choozi's 2nd birthday, with some in-town friends and family members. My ammi and I put up a good spread. Ammi made 4 very impressive appetizers (spinach and aloo pakoras, ground beef puff pastry, garbanzo bean salad and garbanzo patties submerged in yogurt with choe masala) and I made 3 entrees and a soup. Nancy brought a good assortment of cut fruits and Aunt bought a sugar free pie for ammi.
Beef rendang, red chicken potato curry, chicken satay with peanut sauce, tom yum goong (shrimps, tomatoes and canned mushrooms), and all the right condiments to go with steamed rice. This time I was more organized, prep work was done in advance, everything was made from scratch and most of all, I had fun cooking, and I was only able to make 2 cakes, but Maya's tinkerbell cake, I bought from Vons.
Maya, mommy and daddy love you!
