Uncle Kong's birthday 2011

Uncle K celebrated his birthday this month. We had cake and I made fried hor fun, deep fried fish stuffed wontons and deep fried shrimp roll. As usual, choozo is most excited about blowing candles and choozi is mad about cake.

This is the ending to Uncle K's birthday cake. Choozi loved it.

Second in line loving desserts!

Can I dig in yet?

Opening wide, daddy!

Attacking the cake!

Oldest girl in the family! Notice her perfect smile!

Posing for camera, as usual!

Hmmm, wonder what piece I am getting?

Happy Birthday, Uncle K!!!

Taste good like mom's but the color is unavoidable dark from soy sauce and blackened garlic residue.

Golden shrimp wrapped in popiah skin.

Wedding cake-Westersund style

What a small world, met Betty/Gigi at wedding!

The Westersund

My Cake Wing Man, who thought he can do detailed and clean fondant work!

My critic and support at late nights when I cannot sleep.

The Grand 1401 and right top side is where the Westersund cake sits!

Top tier aka dummy tier sitting next to me.

This is a custom made cake for Angelia and Allen who married on September 24, 2011. The wedding was held at the Grand 1401 - a ballroom in downtown Fresno. It was a very intimate wedding reception for 180 people. The couple did their own decorations which looked chic, simple and classic. The color scheme was subtle with hint of champagne, silver and soft lighting.

I made their wedding cake. Bride had a vision but I took it to the next level. Bride and Groom are the nicest and humblest people I ever met, both families at the wedding were nice and approachable.

Uncle Kong played a huge role in this from scratch, baking, stacking, frosting, decorating and hauling the cake with Frank and I. SK was watching Choozo for me on the day of wedding!

Update 9/20/2011

CK has successfully completed her braces and she has the perfect teeth to compliment that pretty smile!

I am recovering from my neck shoulder and hand debacle, went for MRI last night and this Friday will meet with my orthopedist for results. Some days are good and some days are really bad. This Saturday I have a wedding cake to deliver for my friend - Angelia. Here is a sneek peek.

Choozi's visit at Valley Children Hospital

Last week, Choozi went to see her orthopedist and diagnosis progress is well, we need to get her high tops shoes and also stretching her feet everyday. We are relieved. I could not go this time because of my neck pain.

Happy Birthday Aunt Alicia 2011!

Today is my aunt Kuen's birthday, she had to make her own curry laksa on Saturday since I am in pain from muscle sprain from my neck to the left side of my hand. I bought a cake from Whole Foods because I tried it for the first time at Samer's graduation party. We wish my aunt - may all her wishes come true!
